Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment according to JWH preventative maintenance program
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair broken or damaged equipment, test and make adjustments
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including PLC's, mechanical components, power supplies, drives, and test equipment
  • Document maintenance activities by means of manual documents, computer data entry, and equipment identification
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Notify Supervision of equipment irregularities, investigate repetitive failures and recommend solutions

     Technical Area Manager

    Requirements
    • B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Ability to use CAD software
    • 3-5 years experience in a production environment with some project management responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and oversee process change verifications
    • Design, procure, install, test, commission and optimize facilities, tooling, machinery and equipment for refractory shape production

    • Keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies

    Senior Machine Operator

    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED required at hire
    • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
    • Ability to use precision measuring equipment
    • 3 - 5 years experience operating machinery and equipment
    Responsibilities
    • Operates mixers and adds minor ingredients to batched raw materials to prepare mixes for pressing
    • Operates presses to form mixed materials into refractory shapes, making adjustments to achieve proper shape dimensions and density
    • Perform press die changes and loads press programs
    • Operates rotary surface grinders, boring machines, and water treatment equipment to achieve refractory shape tolerances.
    • Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability
    • Documents production by means of manual documents and computer data entry
    • Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition
    • Perform other duties as requested by Supervision
    • 45-50 hours per week
    Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of proper use of hand and power tools
  • ISO 9000:2000 and statistical process control training
  • Familiarity with rigging and use of lifting devices
  • Familiarity with crane and forklift operations
  • CPR and First Aid training
  • Familiarity with OSHA industrial standards
  • Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings

    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED required at hire
    • Good "hands on" skills with reasonable mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
    • Positive attitude, ability and willingness to learn
    • Post-offer/pre-employment drug test and physical are required prior to starting work
    Responsibilities
    • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move raw materials, move work in progress, assemble/disassemble molds and ship finished products
    • Batch raw materials in preparation for mixing
    • Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to batched raw materials to prepare mixes for casting or pressing
    • Cast or press product
    • Prepare samples for quality testing
    • Perform work in compliance with ISO Standards
    • Operate ovens and kilns to dry and fire product
    • Prepare and finish/package product for final shipping
    • Inspect product to assure conformance
    • Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability
    Desirable Skills
  • Forklift qualification and forklift maintenance inspection
  • Experience with overhead crane
  • Familiarity with rigging and use of lifting devices
  • CPR and First Aid training
